Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery (BAMS) is a 5.5 years graduate degree that study the integrated system of modern medicine and traditional Ayurveda. BAMS course covers an exhaustive investigation of current life structures, physiology, social and preventive pharmaceuticals, toxicology, herbal science, ENT, standards of surgery, and alike to coach students with the normal methods in modern science. The course includes the study and application of natural herbs and its medicine within the field of health science. Ayurveda is one among the oldest systems of drugs and traces its roots to Vedic times. The study support the curative properties of herbs and its medicines known for the natural elements that they contain.
Considered as an alternate method of treatment, the Ayurveda medicine system not only cures and prevents an ailment but also reduces the frequency with which diseases enter a person's body. It utilises the self-healing system of the body. Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM) is the responsible body for admission to Ayurveda education at undergraduate as well as postgraduate level and for practice Ayurvedic medicine in India.
Ancient traditional practice of Pancha karma and Yoga therapy along with modern diagnostic tools and surgical as well as obstetric OT facilities is available for a comprehensive health care. Experienced specialists doctors in various disciplines supported by well-trained paramedical staff are working in the hospital. College started in 2016 and now is in its 3rd Year with 100 students in each batch. A well-equipped college with spacious rooms for classes, dissection hall, Physiology lab, good library facility, with a spacious herb garden are present for better learning and training. Separate hostel for men and women, good playground, canteen and Bank ATM is also available in the campus.
