Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust was founded in 1988 with a focus to provide wholesome education to the students of all walks of life in the then educationally backward district of Pudukkottai. Mount Zion Matriculation Higher Secondary School established in the same year, has since grown into the school of highest repute in the district.With the view of providing quality higher education, the trust came out with Mount Zion College of Engineering & Technology in August, 2001. Now it is one of the leading institutions in this area.

When the Trustees extended their focus towards health care arena, Mount Zion College of Nursing was inaugurated in September, 2009 with a view to provide High Quality Nursing Education. It is the great desire of the trustees to produce professionally qualified & technically competent nurses from this institution to serve humanity.The trust established Mount Zion International School (CBSE) in 2011 in order to move the educational standard from national to international level.
