The K.V.G .Institute of Nursing Sciences is a part of the K.V.G Group of Institutions and is attached to the K.V.G Medical College Hospital.The Institution is located at sullia.The Administrative center of Sullia Taluk in D.K District,which has its boarder spread through the states of Karnataka and Kerala.The campus is surrounded by natural vegetation with a peaceful and learning atmosphere.

The Late Dr.Kurunji Venkatramana Gowda,founder President of KVG group of Institutions,was a pioneer in the field of education and health care,who relentlessly strived to bring up quality education,health care facilities and prosperity to the rural province of Sullia. Dr.KVG’s Untiring effort and endless contribution made his aim and dream become true,i.e the development of society through quality education.His philosophy of education is still continues to inspire the younger generation in various fields.Being one among the Institutions,the K.V.G Institute of Nursing Sciences has created awareness and a better understanding of our comprehensive programmes. The Institution aims to enlighten the vision of Late Dr. KVG to empower the Nursing Profession through providing  a quality Nursing Education to the students from different parts of India and abroad.The ultimate goal of Nursing education is to provide quality nursing care to the needy population.

Nursing is an emotionally fulfilling and personally rewarding career,with excellent job prospects, a wide range of ares to specialize and better salaries. The KVG Institute of Nursing Sciences aims at bringing out the best in the students through their all-round development which will make them competent nurses and better human beings.

Presently the Institution is running two programmes,namely Basic B.Sc Nursing and General nursing  and Midwifery with the intake of 60 students for each programme. The Institution aims to fulfill the requirements of the nursing students by providing state of the art facilities such as attached parent Medical College Hospital, digital library , separate Hostel facilities  for girls and boys,well qualified and experienced faculty,well equipped Laboratories,facilities for sports and cultural activities,uninterrupted power & water supply ad round the clock security for the students which has created an excellent learning atmosphere.

The Students regularly conduct Health camps under the guidance of teaching faculty and in collaboration with the K.V.G Medical college Hospital. The students also actively participate in the national Health Programmes. The Institution focuses on the all-round development of the students with special attention on development of languages and communication.
