Bachelor of Ayurvedic medicine and surgery (BAMS) is an integrated Indian degree in the medical field. This degree programme is conferred to those students who studied the modern medicines and traditional Ayurveda. Ayurveda is one of the ancient scientific systems of the world.
AACV is run by of Ashtanga Educational Trust (AET), a trust registered as per the charitable trust act which is driven by a group of selfless souls with uncompromising commitment to the declared goals of the trust. The outlook of the trust is clear, wide, cosmopolitan and secular; and the leadership is determined to bring their dreams into reality. The trust has Vaidyan Gangadharan Nair, the well-known Balavaidyan of the CNS tradition as its chairman and Sri Kanippayoor Narayanan Namboothirippad as its Managing Trustee. Sri Unnikrishnan Manghat is the Secretary of AET and Sri Kanippayoor Krishnan Namboothirippad, its treasurer. AACV is running under the direct guidance of a specially constituted CMC (College Management Committee).
